Spring on Nantucket can be dreary. All those April showers that bring us May flowers—they cast a gray tone to the island. There is a quiet, New England beauty to it, but that doesn’t brighten one’s mood—especially in the early days of spring when all us island dwellers are anxious for sunshine, a bright blue sky, and warming water temperatures.
It does, however, lend itself to boot and black tight wear—which is always welcomed. I adore dressing in layers, mixing wools and silks, and throwing a scarf over my shoulders. The belt is a new favorite from ASOS. The clasp reminds me of a Nantucket Lightship Basket closure. Eci really hit the nail on the head with this shirt dress. It is easy and effortless, works with any belt, and the tie neck gives it that added frill of feminine that I’ve been digging lately.
