This weekend was spent outside in spaces where no other humans where in sight (I love the island during the off season). Sunday morning we walked the northern side of Pocomo Point. The sun shined behind the clouds and the wind was bitter. Along the shore I found sea glass, lucky ring stones, and a chubby white seal pup resting on a rock. The large rocks along the shore are remnants of the last ice age. After Pocomo, we roamed around Squam and took in sweeping views of the Atlantic. We ended our tour in Quident, admiring crooked doors, crooked roof lines, and that enchanting spot where the ocean meets the sky.
